Los Angeles Erupts in Celebration as Los Angeles Dodgers Claim Back-to-Back World Series Victory
The City of Angels experienced widespread celebrations after the Los Angeles Dodgers clinched a thrilling seven-match World Series championship. Supporters worldwide united with Angelenos in celebration, marking the initial time in 25 years that a team has achieved back-to-back championships.
Victory Parade Draws Enormous Turnout
Local events featured a procession through the city center on the morning of the parade, a reserved-seating event at Dodger Stadium, and impromptu gatherings throughout the city.
Social media videos depict thousands of Angelenos packing city center avenues, many displaying homemade signs and team flags. The team was seen riding high on a double-decker bus through the masses, raising the Commissioner’s trophy high.
“My focus is already about the third time we’re going to do this,” the star player stated through an interpreter.
The procession path ended at the stadium, where the players walked out to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” with DJ Mustard spinning music and Ice Cube driving a light blue vintage Cadillac around the stadium’s outfield.
Early Celebrations and Athlete Responses
Festivities began well before the parade, with supporters lighting flares in the roads of the city center on the previous evening.
The World Series MVP, awarded the MVP of the championship, spoke directly about the win.
“We refuse to lose,” he stated. “I love the Dodgers. I love Los Angeles.”

However, the team owner was met with a cooler welcome at the rally. Video footage from the event appear to show him walking onstage to a mix of cheers and boos, with jeers interrupting his speech.
The championship served as a bright spot in what has been a challenging year for the city. An estimated quarter-million people attended to the Dodgers’ victory parade last year, and according to team member one athlete, fans this year showed as much if not more enthusiasm.
“I feel like it’s nearly twice from last year,” Freeman remarked. “These fans are crazy. It’s truly amazing to be a part of this.”
