Kane celebrates his 100th goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has stated that his enthusiasm in going back to the Premier League has lessened and he is prepared to negotiate a new agreement with Bayern Munich.
The star striker is presently halfway through the four-year agreement he inked when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the offseason of 2023.
The experienced forward has netted an remarkable 103 goals in 106 matches for the German club, helping them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which was the initial important trophy of his notable career.
Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has earlier expressed that he would be pleased to see Kane come back to England, where he requires 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring record of 260.
However, the England leader has now indicated that he is no longer as keen about going back home as he once was, and would seriously think about extending his stay in Bavaria.
"In terms of staying longer, I could absolutely see that," he remarked.
"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be open to talk and have an honest conversation.
"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so unfolds and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not considering about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have learned in my career is that different options and different periods happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."
Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the record top scorer for both Tottenham and England and recently became the fastest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five divisions, reaching the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a trophy had escaped him until he won the German title last season.
Kane states that he was not sure how he would feel after ending his trophy barren spell, but now feels it has made him hungry for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.
"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.
"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
